FIX YOU

So last week, I (Kristie), had told Kyle that the song "fix you" by coldplay reminded me of my mom. I wanted to share the song with her because it so clearly speaks of God "lights will guide you home", the work he is doing in her body "and ignite your bones" and then says what we are all wanting to do,"I will try to fix you"
Lately, I have been wondering what God is up to, and I have been wanting to feel His presence and warmth a little more tangibly. When your world is shaken it is only natural (I think) to want God's comfort. This Sunday at church all these things came together. We had a guest artist leading us in worship and the last song they played was "Fix You".Well the tears streamed down my face.
I have been so clearly reminded that God is with us always and He is listening. As Susie mentioned, mom is looking great, she has come so far in such a short time. The miracle healing is happening because God loves her and He is listening to your prayers for her. Thank you for your continued prayers, they make all the difference in "fixing" her.

"Fix You"

When you try your best, but you don't succeed
When you get what you want, but not what you need
When you feel so tired, but you can't sleep
Stuck in reverse

And the tears come streaming down your face
When you lose something you can't replace
When you love someone, but it goes to waste
Could it be worse?

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you

And high up above or down below
When you're too in love to let it go
But if you never try you'll never know
Just what you're worth

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you

Tears stream down your face
When you lose something you cannot replace
Tears stream down your face
And I...

Tears stream down on your face
I promise you I will learn from my mistakes
Tears stream down your face
And I...

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you

  1. Hi Jess and Kristie, what an amazing confirmatin straight from God!! He IS always good but sometimes in the midst of crisis and pain and shock He is not always our "default" and so he literally "SHOWS UP" in real and tangible ways - and blows us away with His love, and grace, and foregiveness and, the list goes on.......He has also been showing up for those of us on the planning team for The Summit!!! We are having a blast and it's only a week away - the details are overwhelming but everything is coming together - praise the Lord!! I will find a minute to come in to see you after it's all over, Jess and share some of the best parts with you!! Love you lots,
    yours sister, Pam :)

  4. How amazing that GOD puts words into the hearts and minds of song writers so that we hear his message in so many different ways. Thank God for you Jess and thank God that you are doing so well - can't wait for the call that says I can come for a short visit. Love and prayers to all. Carmen
