Jess made some significant progress again today. She started eating solid food, mostly soft foods that are easily digested. She wants to let everyone know that she is committed to eating well.....the healthier she is, the easier the recovery. Another HUGE accomplishment she made today was sitting up with her feet on the floor she said it was fairly easy and comfortable, however she did say the Halo brace was heavy and affected her balance. We are all confidant that this is something she will get used too (probably just in time to remove the brace...LOL). A physiotherapist also worked with her today, giving her some exercises to perform (her exercises include moving all her limbs and wiggling her toes mainly to promote circulation).
I think that is everything for today. To be continued....

Hey, Jess, and Family:
ReplyDeleteJust want to say I've had all of you, and especially you Jess, on my mind and in my prayers. Please let me know if I can do anything for any of you. That includes cooking, Kirby, if you need a home cooked meal!! Let me know when it's OK for me to come up for a visit, Jess.
Love to all, Pam
Thanks to whoever set up and is keeping this blog site up to date. It is so good to check on Jess's progress and today's entry sounds very positive. The Watson family is being blessed with many prayers and good wishes. I hope we can see you soon Jess.

Thanks so much for setting this up to keep us informed and thanks Kirby for your call yesterday!! Knowing Jess I think she will recover quicker if her halo is "funkified" - maybe some feathers, a bit of bling, some streaks of colour.....seriously God has so much for you to do Jess. Love, Carmen
ReplyDeleteHey Jess,

Listen girl, with your strong committment to recovery, your family and friends with you all the way, and faith, you're on the mend.
